Regional Transportation Authority of Northeastern Illinois Chairman Kirk W. Dillard, a partner at Locke Lord, has been chosen to receive a 2017 Local Distinguished Service Award by the American Public Transportation Association.

Ropes & Gray private equity associate Reginald Guy II was honored by Margaret’s Village for volunteering and raising money to support the 501(c) nonprofit organization located in the city’s Englewood community. Guy was one of four honorees presented with a Sister Margaret Traxler Award during the organization’s Horizon of Hope Fall Gala 2017.

Circuit Judge John P. Schmidt, of the 7th Judicial Circuit, At Large, has been assigned to the 4th District Appellate Court to the position currently held by Justice Thomas R. Appleton, who retired on Dec. 6.
